Class Description:

You will learn the basic techniques used for creating components used in  Necklaces, Bracelets, and Anklets.  We will begin with a demonstration on the proper way to hold and use hand tools, and then get right into skills! 

Goal: To GO HOME with a nice, new piece of jewelry to show off!

Learn how to make:

t Eye Pins   t Bead Wraps    t Jump Rings    t Closures and Clasps

Materials needed:

  • Assorted Glass or Semi Precious Beads with holes that your wire will fit through.
     No. 8 and number 5 knitting needles for making wire coils
     A ruler and a Black Sharpie marker pen
  Tools:   You can use tools you have at home for this practice class if you wish, but please note that the surface of household tools is grooved, and will leave scratches and bite marks on your wire.  Tools made especially for jewelry have a smooth inner surface so that your precious metals do not get scratched or nicked.
